Distressed Homeowners Having Trouble Talking to Live Person
A recent CNN story “Folks Losing Homes Dial 1-800; No One Answers,” describes the heartache people are going through trying to save their homes from foreclosure. They call the lender, hoping to speak to a real person who will help them, only to spend wasted hours in an endless, useless automated loop.
Unfortunately, this has been going on since the mortgage meltdown began. It has been quite awhile since Congresswoman Maxine Waters demonstrated how she ran into the same roadblocks when trying to contact bank representatives on behalf of several constituents. And, she is in Congress!
Too bad these lenders were not forced to use some of our taxpayer bailout money to actually help people.
