Photography as a Marketing Tool
I’ve been into photography for many years. One of the things I enjoy about my hobby is how photos provide a different perspective. I get to see things I may otherwise have missed. An example is how, with macro photography, I experience the face of a spider or the inner beauty of a rose. Pictures can also reveal lighting, angles and backgrounds we may not, otherwise, notice.
I also use photography in my business. The other day, as I was taking photos of my latest listing in Oakland, I wanted to capture those aspects of the home and its gardens that are especially appealing or interesting. In this instance, it was the great backyard, as the sun went in and out after a rainy morning.
I’ve posted some examples here, but, for the full photo tour, visit 3451 Mirasol Avenue at my Web site, or, better still, see the home yourself at the Open House today, March 22nd, from 2p to 4:30pm.
The seller had placed three small vases, each with a flower from the garden, on the kitchen window sill. I have always felt the view from a window located over the kitchen sink is important and, this one, overlooking the garden, caught my eye.Similarly, I enjoyed seeing the garden through this beautiful, flowering tree (wish I knew its name!).
The light coming through the top and sides of the gazebo gives a unique feel to this view toward the rear of the house.
The close-up of lemons in sunlight is an example of the beauty of nature in one’s own backyard.
