Eye-opening Documentary
Just saw Crude Impact, an amazing documentary about the relationship between human beings, oil consumption and the effect on our planet. It was released in 2006, but, somehow, I never heard about it until my wife told me I must see it. She was right.
The film has won numerous awards and is on the level of An Inconvenient Truth, which was widely publicized. I cannot imagine that it will have anything other than a huge emotional and intellectual impact on anyone who takes the time to see it.
Although depressing in many ways, the message of hope at the end is that we need to fully understand what is happening and what each of us can do, as individuals, in our daily lives. In addition, we can pass the knowledge on to others. As they say in the film’s closing, ‘Tag, you’re it.”
