Not the sharpest knife in the drawer
I received a call from the seller of one of my listings. He told me a very funny story.
He happened to look out his window in time to see a car pull up in front of his home. He watched as an agent got out, walked to his front steps, sat down and pulled out his cell phone. A moment later, the seller’s phone rang. He answered the phone as he opened the front door. The conversation then went like this:
Agent: “The MLS (Multiple Listing Service) says to call first, so I’m calling.”
Seller: “Yes, but the idea is to give me some notice”
Agent: “Well, I’m going to call your agent to have him clarify remarks in the MLS, because all it says is ‘call first.’
Not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer.
